Grandma Parks passed away today at age 88. She has done so much, feeding, entertaining and sharing her house with the galloping hordes of friends that I used to bring over. She taught me the essences of healthy cooking, canning and freezing.
Before I ever knew them, she and my grandpa were backpackers, avid outdoors-people, spiritual leaders and always helping others. They taught those values and skills to their daughters and those helped develop the person I am.
Her final passing was in prayer with her grand-daughter, surrounded by family in her apartment at Wheatland Village in Walla Walla Washington.
